There will be sports show in La Grande Motte this weekend ! 6 to 8 Diam 24 od crews are expected to meet at the foot of the pyramids during a 3 day regatta that promises to be mighty, for the occasion of the 1st Grand Prix de la Grande Motte.
The second event of the 2016 Diam 24 od racing calandar starts tomorrow, 26th february, at the Grand Motte Yacht Club. New crews to the cricuit are to be discovered at this Grand Prix event, notably 2 local crews from La Grand Motte. Only two sailors have
Diam 24 od racing experience : The Breton- Swiss Bernard Stamm on “Cheminées Poujoulat”, who will be shouldered, for the occasion, by two local young talents who are on a Nacra 17 Olympic preparation ; and Nicolas Béranger on board one of YCGM’s trimarans.
The program : A coastal course and inshore races with passages very close to the public and finishing lines in the port ensuring a garanteed show, even more so, as the weather forecast has announced over 30 knots for Saturday.
