The Tour de France à la Voile will commence in a fews days time. Highlight of the racing season for some crews, this fine and lengthy event is not the sole objective for all owners of Diam 24od. Indeed, before and after « the Tour », the racing calendar of this one design trimaran offers numerous friendly and sporting events including two interesting meetings in the Mediterranean : a long distance race in Lavandou followed by La Coupe de France in Hyères.
The Diam 24od has the ability to interest young and older sailors, high level athletes along with experienced and amateur racers. Its circuit has been imagined around this capacity to federate a wide audience.
End of august and autumn
Following up on a full preseason, the end of this sumer and autumn of this second Diam 24od season will also be rich in events !
End of august, the Breton and Channel based fleets of Diam 24ods will be divided between the Trophée Prince de Bretagne in Saint Quai Portrieux and the Grand Prix de Port la Forêt. One month later, Le Télégramme, the major gathering in Lorient on the Atlantic coast, will welcome Diam 24ods for the second year, where around 10 teams are expected.
Migration in Dboxes
It will soon be time to migrate further south for the epilogue of this second Diam 24od racing season. In order to facilitate this transhumance, grouped transportation of six boats will be organized from Brittany to Lavandou, where a long distance race will be held from 13th to 16th october. The season will close with the Coupe de France in november in Hyères.

Please also note that all year round, the Club de la Vallée des Fous in Port la Forêt can organize , training sessions overs a two day period with a minimum of 3 boats per session. During the Grand Prix de Port la Forêt (26th-28th august), 2 Diam 24ods will be available for trial sessions.
